t-test table

 

Explanations > Social ResearchAnalysis > t-test table

This table enables the t-value from a t-test to be converted to a statement about significance.

  • Select the column with probability that you want.
    • eg. 0.05 means '95% chance'
  • Select the row for degrees of freedom.
    • For two values, number of degrees of freedom is (n1 + n2)-2
  • Compare the value in the cell with your t-value.
  • The results are significant if the t-value is greater than the value in the cell.
