The brain does not always work as is should, resulting in perceptions and behaviors that are not what most would call 'normal'. This can be confusing for the subject, although they may accept the result in an almost casual and accepting way, which can be doubly confusing for onlookers.

Aphasia: Loss of ability to speak.
Blindsight: Blind person 'seeing' objects.
The Brain Syndrome: brain impairment leads to confusion.
Confabulation: Making things up, subconsciously.
General Adaptation Syndrome: The body's attempts at managing stress can eventually kill it.
Unilateral neglect: Ignoring things on the left.
