Description

Repeat patterns of pitch and tone within a sentence or period of speech.

Match the music of the speech to the key message you want to communicate, such that the emphasis or tonal highs coincide with important words.

Example

What I want to know is what you want to hear.

When you were out, I had to wait.

Discussion

Tonal patterning is a subtle method that may not be detected by the other person, especially if the words are crafted to fit with the pattern.

The emphasis created by the tonal pattern will be picked up by the subconscious, where particular significance is given to emphasized items.
