Rituals, to most people are things that are done in churches, or by ancient tribespeople. The word conjures up pictures of peculiar garb, chanting and sacrifice. Most certainly it seems nothing to do with persuasion. 

What are rituals?

Rituals are defined sequences of words and actions which serve specific purposes for the people who use them, which is everyone.
