Dress up

How should you dress for an interview? The general rule is to dress up, particularly if you are in any doubt. There are variations on this: If you are going for a creative job and know the expectations for dress then you can of course fit in as appropriate.

For men, this means a smart lounge suit and tie.

Be clean

Make sure you are clean all over. Any lack of cleanliness is likely to lead to disgust. This includes:

Shower/bath that day.
Hair washed that day. Recently cut.
Fingernails clean and shaped.
Polished shoes.
All clean clothes.
Suit recently dry-cleaned and neatly pressed (no crumples!).
